Two quick and easy recipes for oatmeal balls.

Please note that no oatmeals were killed while utilizing their balls. Normally, you need egg to thicken the recipe and make it sticky so you can roll it but with oatmeal, if you add the right amount of water, it’s pretty sticky. If you find that the mix is too wet, add more oatmeal and it’ll thicken up.

These recipes are entirely vegan.

Clarification, these are vegan friendly, not made from a vegan individual. Meaning, no vegans were harmed. They just might enjoy the recipes.

 

Sweet

Ingredients

  • A liberal amount of oatmeal
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Dried blueberries or raisins or both or neither
  • Water
  • Cinnamon

Mixing

Mix everything but the water. Add water.

Baking

  • Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees
  • Spray a baking thingie or use a cupcake baking thingie, in either case spray it first
  • Roll into balls and put on tray
  • Bake for 15 minutes

Savoury

Ingredients

  • A liberal amount of oatmeal
  • Thyme, dried dill, dried parsely, salt, other spices
  • Water

Mixing

Mix everything but the water. Add water.

Baking

  • Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees
  • Spray a baking thingie or use a cupcake baking thingie, in either case spray it first
  • Roll into balls and put on tray
  • Bake for 15 minutes

I made this off the top of my head and it was awesome.
